I liked this wine.. It has the Big Jumilla taste but good complexity good acidity adaquate tannins and a lingering finish. Huge Black Fruit and a hint of licorice. At this price point this is a wine that I would consider buying at least 6 bottles of for future evolution in the bottle.

An amazingly good value wine. Mr Parker got it right giving it 90 points. Good notes of blueberry, plum, cherry and vanilla. Wonderful long and smooth finish. Fantastic with a good steak and will age well for many years to come. Truly a great value drinkable wine. Will be buying another 12 bottles for my cellar.

This was a good Jumilla to try out as I attempt to expand our palates.

Nice marroonish red color to this dark wine. The nose on this is perfumy with dark spice, black cherry, roasted meats, and touches of vanilla. Complex and with more to show once it opens further. Rich pure fruit in the mouth, this is a wine to fall in love with. Cherry and spice, mix with super fine but mouth coating tannins. Lush and juicy, it is all balanced by a nice acidity. Oak is present but only as material that ties the rich flavors together. Wow, this is a big wine with few years yet to really reach its peak. Serious grilling wine!

Kick Ass. Burst of dark, juicy fruit to start works its way to a dry, tannic finish. Killed it with pizza.

(50% monastrell, 25% tempranillo and 25% cabernet sauvignon; aged for a year in French and American oak): Inky ruby. Highly aromatic, exotic bouquet of red and dark berries, violet, vanilla and woodsmoke. Broad and deep, showing sweet black raspberry and blueberry flavors, a velvety texture and bright mineral snap. Nicely blends richness and energy and finishes with lingering sweetness and supple, even tannins. This is delicious right now.

The 2009 Altos de Luzon is a blend of 35- to 45-year-old Monastrell, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon from vineyards planted at 650 meters altitude fermented with wild yeast, and aged for 12 months in barrel. It’s a minty blend, showing some age, tertiary notes of leather, cedar wood and a polished palate. The Cabernet marks the blend, giving the impression more of a Mediterranean Bordeaux, but unfortunately the varnished oak character of the wine stays at the forefront. 150.000 bottles produced. Drink 2013–2015.

Sourced from two unique vineyards, this full-bodied blend of Monastrell, Cabernet and Tempranillo has tremendous saturation of color, round rich flavors of ripe plums, blackberries and cassis with balanced notes of warm spices. The integrated tannins and long, well developed finish are the culmination of gifted winemaking and 12 months of careful aging in French and American barrels.

The 2007 Altos de Luzon is a blend of Monastrell, Tempranillo, and Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 12 months in new French and American oak. A glass-coating opaque purple color, it proffers aromas of mineral, underbrush, blueberry, blackberry, and milk chocolate. Velvety-textured and opulent on the palate, it has loads of flavor, enough structure to evolve for 2-3 years, and a lengthy, fruit-filled finish. Drink it from 2012 to 2019. (a blend of monastrell, tempranillo and cabernet sauvignon) Deep, bright ruby. Sexy red berry and floral aromas are complicated by notes of licorice and oak spice. Round and juicy, with sweet raspberry and cherry flavors and seamless texture. Gains vivacity with air and finishes with very good clarity and floral-accented berry notes. Roasted plum and raspberry aromas offer accents of vanilla, dill and dry wood. The palate is big, a little soft and chubby in the middle, with savory, herbal black fruit flavors that are meaty and deep. Finishes earthy, h...
