The nose on this high octane wine opens with harmonious florals and spices, along with wafts of blue and red fruit. The palate launches with stacks of bass, including dark chocolate and coffee front to back, as bright but rustic red fruit notes dance in the middle and dark fruits, including blackberry and currant, emerge fleetingly. The wine gains balance and elegance over time, with a smooth mouthfeel and a fruit-rich center. Plenty of heat and spice to sustain an edgy, peppery finish.
