What to Expect

Palomino is a grape that is rarely used to produce a dry table wine, but is responsible for a majority of Spain's drier Sherries as well as many Sherry-like wines produced around the globe. Its high acid and delicate flavors are ideal for this style of winemaking.

Reviews

I've never had anything like this before, so I'm almost afraid to score it, but it was a lovely wine with a dish of marcona almonds. Nutty, dry, aromatic, it was served slightly chilled. Even so, it had a profoundly warming effect on the the body, and you just felt like you'd swallowed the sun and it was thawing you from the inside out. It was a complicated wine, too, with layers of subtle flavors: nuts, apple, a touch of spiciness. Has convinced me to try more sherry.
