Bodegas Emilio Moro Tinto Fino Ribera del Duero 2006
92 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): Opaque ruby. Brooding cherry and blackberry aromas are complemented by smoked meat, minerals and anise. Sappy dark berry flavors stain the palate and are braced by zesty minerals and dusty tannins. Gains weight and sweetness on the finish, which repeats the dark berry note and lingers impressively. (Sep/Oct 2008) 'Top 100 Wine of 2009 (#99)' and 91 points Wine Spectator.
Emilio Moro, the founder of Bodegas Emilio Moro, was born in Pesquera de Duero, a wine area of time-honoured traditions, where some of the flagship wines of the Ribera del Duero appellation are now produced. It was in this year that the winerys first vineyard, Finca Resalso, was planted.
