Bodegas Emilio Moro Ribera del Duero Malleolus 2008

External Review by JJ Buckley Fine Wines:

The 2008 Malleolus comes from older vines and spent 18 months in French oak. It gives up a promising nose of pain grille mineral espresso violets and blackberry. This is followed by a tannic savory offering with just enough fruit for balance. It will benefit from 2-3 years of additional cellaring to melt some of the tannins and will drink nicely through 2023.
