Hightoned and stemmy on the nose with floral top notes. On the palate this is a touch sweet and very fruit forward with a bit of an extracted feel. The finish is not tannic but does have a touch of bitterness. A bit of a clumsy effort. 85pts
This is a really nice tempranillo, quite dry with a beautiful deep purple color that sits heavily in the glass. The nose presents a heavy scent of leather with a hint of chocolate and berry. The taste is somewhat fruity, with hints of cherry and cassis, but still quite dry with a pleasant finish. I think it would go quite well with a rare grilled steak with some grilled veggies and olive oil as well.
Alluring nose of rich ripe deep fruit. In the mouth same deep fruit, smooth, chewy and delicious, yet this is not a fruit bomb. Strong smooth tannins. Excellent acid. Good QPR.

Big, brawny and modern, this saturated Ribera weighs in at 15% and shows it on the nose and palate. Aromas of menthol, tobacco and sexy black fruit are very much 21st-century, while the palate is ripe, tannic, lively and full of black cherry and fudge flavors. A wine for those who like 'em big; there's no shortage of energy, tannin or structure. Hold for another year and then good through 2013. - M.S.Bright ruby color. Intensely spicy aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and incense. Juicy and fresh, with vibrant red berry preserve flavors, silky texture and good mineral bite. Reminded me of a serious New World pinot noir. Finishes with excellent tangy persistence and a strong echo of red berries. This stylish wine is made by the Emilio Moro family.
