Light, gently sweet red fruit flavors are silky and smooth, with no obvious tannins or rough edges. Understated and nicely balanced, with good finishing lift and clarity. Fans of old-school Rioja should give this a spin.
This had probably been a premier wine a year or two ago but unfortunately it is past its prime now (2009). Nevertheless it remains a good representative of the Rioja bearing all the traditional characteristics of the kind.

This ruby red coloured tempranillo is harmonic, well balanced with hints of oak and vanilla. Soft and long with a superb concentration of fruity flavours, aged for fourteen months in white oak this Rioja has depth and presence, ideal for any occasion.
