Bodegas Don Sancho de Londono Cortijo Rioja Rosado 2011

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

This is decidedly fruity with notes of watermelon and boysenberry on the nose, supported by creamy hints of green apple, bitter almond and light white floral notes. A bit thick on the palate but at the same time bright enough, thanks to the integrated acidity here. This is slippery on the tongue, lacking some detail but very smooth with a nice concentration of rich red fruits peppered with hints of pomegranate seeds and candied raspberry fruit. The finish is brisk and bright with lovely tannins and acidity adding a nice bit of nervous energy and good length. The fresh fruit has a slight sweet/bitter thing going on. 88pts
