Bodegas del Palacio de Fefiñanes Albariño Rías Baixas 1583 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

Fresh fruit aromas of apricot and peach slices with notes of lemon and green apple. Pretty notes of honey and wet nutmeg, and the mouth is round, clean, and pleasant with baked apple, honey, and lemon. This is a classic Albariño which is good young, but actually improves over two to three years and remains quite drinkable for up to five years.

Bodegas del Palacio de Fefiñanes:
Wine is like people, in that the closer it comes t0 its roots, the closer it comes to its real identity. In Bodegas del Palacio dc Fefinanes we put this identity first and foremost. Our wines speak clearly of their landscape, their soil, with the fullness of a singular variety: the Albarino grape, as powerful and evocative as it is scarce. This is the fruit of our labours over the past hundred years and more. A tradition that is now part of our history.

One of our drier Albariños, this one has a mineral edge and floral peach aromas. This was absolutely made for shellfish and other light seafood dishes.
