Bodegas Castro Martin Family Estate Selection Albariño 'Sobre Lias' 2010

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

This has a lovely nose, all swathed in a gentle florality with soft apricot, plum, and tangerine aromas that show a little candied almond note. This is focused and fairly precise in the mouth with big acids lending a classic seashell note on the palate, and even a whisper of tannins supporting slightly herb toned green plum, lime and melon fruit. This finishes with impressive clarity and good length showing very pure lemon flavors and firm minerality. 89pts

Rich balanced aroma with pears, celery seed, pineapple, and hazelnut. The body is tart and strong on the fore-palate, with a buttery and high-mineral finish.

Medium+ body, good acidity. Lemon, orange. Great with Manchego cheese. Slightly one-dimensional. Leesy? $24
