Bodegas Casal de Armán 2010
The grapes are grown in terraced and smooth-sloped vineyards with sands and slate of granitic origin. During harvest, grapes are carefully selected at the vineyard. Temperature controls start at the reception of the grapes at the winery with a light cold maceration followed by pneumatic pressing and separation of the musts. Fermentation is carried out at low temperature, and then the wine is cold-stabilized in stainless steel vats for nine months before it is bottled in May.
Food Pairings for Bodegas Casal de Armán
Made mostly from the Treixadura grape, this white wine has a fairly sleek and relatively simple fruit profile; additions of 5% Godello and 5% Albariño aren’t going to change that. But Treixadura has its merits: yellow apples, citrus notes, and a pleasing red apple finish, with some richness surely derived from a bit of lees contact.
