Garnet with an amber rim. This is light bodied but drying on the tongue. Lots of sediment in the bottle that I opened but still enjoyable. Read more

Winemaker's Notes:

Grifoll-Declara is a small 20 acre estate in Montsant planted to Garnacha, Carinena, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Tempranillo. The 2006 Tossals Junior is 33% Garnacha, 33% Carinena, and the balance Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo. It offers up an enticing nose of slate/mineral, lavender, and confiture of black fruits. Rich, full-bodied, and flavorful, it will evolve for 2-3 years and will be at its best from 2012 to 2021. - Wine Advocate
