External Reviews for Bodegas Callia San Juan Alta Malbec
The 2011 Callia Alta Malbec contains 30% of the crop aged in French and American staves. It has a well-defined bouquet of raspberry and strawberry fruit, with those oak staves lending it just the right amount of lift. The palate is medium-bodied with chunky red berry fruit and a simple but joyful, plump finish. This is a great easy-drinking wine. Drink now.
The winery's goal is to produce the best wines in San Juan and the best Shiraz in Argentina. Along with creating quality wines, they continue to respect and support the people, nature and community from which their wines are created. Braised beef in a rich brown mushroom gravy. Grilled meat or spicy sauced pasta dish.
