Bodegas Borsao Grenache Blend Campo de Borja Crianza Selección 2006
medium bodied rose that comes off meaty with proliferations of dried fruits (strawberries, blueberries) that would hold up well to a meat dish or bbq
I agree this would go with Indian food. After about 7 days vacuum-corked in the refrigerator this wine seemed to behave a bit better. Overall was just ok in its balance and before its 7 day sojourn was probably too acidic. Color was dark brick-red or brownish red with a nose of slightly burnt fruit, probably red raspberry and blackberry. Tannins and acids had calmed down and in the mouth was indistinct except the fruit seemed slightly too pronounced relative to other elements. Finish was sweet and nutty.
Excellent value-priced rose. Doesn't mention the varietal on the label, but I'm sure it's mostly (if not all) Grenache.
Was great with our Indian food.
