Bodegas Borsao Grenache Blend Campo de Borja Crianza Selección 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

It has a cherry red colour with touches of garnet and an elegant, deep ruby background. In the nose, we perceive its great intensity where fruity and varietal tones are combined perfectly with vanilla and smooth oak tannins. Intense in the mouth, fleshy and well-structured with an ample and pleasing aftertaste.

With the passing through Bursao of different civilizations like the Romans, Visigothic Hispania and the Muslims we have inherited architectural remains and above all, the natural inclination of its people towards agriculture and more particularly viniculture. Of equal importance was the implementation of artisanal techniques that today endure as living proof of the cultural richness of the former Bursao today known as Borja. During the I and II centuries, before our time, it used to mint bronze coins, ases and dividers as a symbol of its autonomy. On the obverse of the as we can see a celtiberian rider armed with a lance, riding on the writing of the name of the city in the native alphabet. The emblem adopted by the winery as a sign of identity. Read less

This smooth red delivers plum raisin espresso andlicorice flavors over firm well-integrated tannins. Tobacco and spice notes linger on the finish. Muscular balanced and polished. Drink now through 2014. Wine Spectator.
