Although the history of the city of Borja takes us back to the beginnings of the Paleolithic period, it wasn’t until the 4th century before Christ, in the heart of the Celtiberian period, when thanks to classical and numismatic written sources the name of this village came to light: Bursao. With the passing through Bursao of different civilizations like the Romans, Visigothic Hispania and the Muslims we have inherited architectural remains and above all, the natural inclination of its people towards agriculture and more particularly viniculture. Of equal importance was the implementation of artisanal techniques that today endure as living proof of the cultural richness of the former Bursao today known as Borja. During the I and II centuries, before our time, it used to mint bronze coins, ases and dividers as a symbol of its autonomy. On the obverse of the as we can see a celtiberian rider armed with a lance, riding on the writing of the name of the city in the native alphabet. Campo de Borja, SpainBorsao Tres Picos Garnacha is a perennial Best Buy hailed by many of the world's wine critics as an awesome value. We consider this wine one of the top gems of Spanish wine. The grapes come from vineyards that are between 35 and 40 years old. Located on uneven terrain at an altitude of 600 to 700 meters, these vineyards yield under four and a half tons of grapes per hectare, affording superb richness and concentration in the wine. This 2014 vintage of Borsao Tres Picos received scores of 90 points from Robert Parker and 91 from Wine Spectator! Dr. Jay Miller for Wine Advocate wrote, "If I had to select just one Spanish wine that consistently over-delivers year after year, it would be Tres Picos." Need we say more? While supplies last!Borsao Tres Picos Garnacha is cherry red in color, deep and sweet, with medium body. On the nose, there is a boundless bouquet of cherries and ripe red fruits with traces of flowers typical of Garnacha. On the palate, it is rich and well-structured with flavors of blackberries, strawberries, vanilla, plums, and leather notes. Beautifully balanced with sweet tannins, Borsao Tres Picos leaves a long, silky finish.Enjoy Borsao Tres Picos Garnacha over the next 3-4 years with roast pork, grilled vegetables, burgers and cheeses.
