Bodegas Borsao Garnacha Campo de Borja Monte Oton 2007
Lovely velvet burgundy color - strong aromas of berries - heavy taste tones of blackberries - pleasant to drink, seemingly light to medium body
My local wine shop sells this for $5 a bottle. It's a steal.
Hard to go wrong with a Garnacha. They're very cheap and they've got all the boldness and fire one expects from a good Spanish wine. This one was no exception. Less sweet than a Rioja or Tempranillo. Has a bitterness and mineral quality to it. I can imagine that it really was grown in the desert at the foot of a mountain.
