Auge: gute Farbtiefe. Sauber. Granatrot mit Ziegel- und einigen Violettfarbtönen; Nase: reintönige Aromen, sehr intensiv und anhaltend. Sortenreine Düfte (Tempranillo) nach Brombeere, Himbeere und Lakritze. Harmonisiert mit Vanillenoten des Weinausbaus im Barrique und anderen Gewürzen wie Zimt oder Nelke. Unterholz- und Mineralnoten; Gaumen: körperreich, geschmeidig, ausgewogen und warm. Lang und komplex im Gaumen mit anhaltendem Schweif und im Abgang aromatische Sensationen von hervorragender Qualität.

This reserva is made from 100% Tempranillo grapes from the Vina Pomal estate situated near the town of Haro in the Rioja Alta. It has spent 1 year in new French oak cask and 2 years in bottle at a constant 15 degreesC. It is an international style reserva with both exceptional and typical sensory Rioja characteristics. Bodegas Bilbainas La Vicalanda Reserva 1998 is a deep red-purple colour with hints of terracotta and intense and persistent aromas of blackberries, raspberries, vanilla and cinnamon. A very balanced and rich wine with wonderful body and a complex and long finish.
