Again from the Rioja Alta this 100% Tempranillo has spent 2 years in new French oak and 3 years in bottle before release. Bodegas Bilbainas La Vicalanda Gran Reserva 1998 has a fabulous deep red-purple colour with hints of brick orange and intense and persistent aromas. Its aromas are of blackberries and raspberries with lingering perfumes of vanilla, clove and cinnamon. A fabulous dense and rich wine with lots of body and a complex and lengthy finish.
