Editorial Reviews for Bodegas Beronia Tempranillo Blend Rioja Reserva
A rather classic red fruit and smoky, vanilla toast Rioja nose though on the palate this is elegant and surprisingly bright and nervous. There's still some assertive oak, here but is rather deftly done and offers a nice base for the ripe fruit character on the mid-palate which then transitions back on the juicy finish to a more toasty oak note. I had this with a roast bone in pork loin prepared with smoked paprika and garlic and the wine really handled the dish well. On a restaurant menu this was cheap, at retail it's a great value. 89pts
Nicely structured wine with a significant blast of sweet fruit tempered by smoke, oak, and licorice. Enjoyable now, but a few more years of age will fully integrate the flavors.
complex, well balanced with great dark berry, smoky, floral nose and taste. Very enjoyable on it's own.
medium bodied, lightly acidic, vanilla, red cherries, and licorice
