The outstanding quality of this fantastic wine may surprise even the most ardent Rioja-wine lovers. The utmost care is taken to select the best grapes from the oldest vineyards, the low yield, the meticulous elaboration process, its 14 months in second and third year American and French oak barrels, provide you with an incredibly elegant, round and full wine that will delight you if drunk now or evolve quietly in your cellar for many years to come! The looks: Ruby red, with tiny hints of clay tones due to its evolution. The nose: Very in intense, with dominating red fruits and touches of dark chocolate. When you move the wine around in your glass, you will immediately notice mineral and balsamic notes come afloat. In your mouth: Rich, flavourful, almost meaty. Well integrated, with mature tannins, smooth and mineral. Well balanced acidity. Great friends with small game or rabbit. Veal, oxtail and lamb dishes, grilled or roasted. Goes well with matured cheeses (Gouda, Manchego, Idiazábal or Leerdammer), raw tuna and other sushi varieties, vegetable stews or grilled veggies. Ideal serving temperature at 18°C.
