Bodegas Astica Chardonnay 2011

Member Review by Argovino:

This wine may come in a big bottle, but it’s definitely not watered down. The deep sweet-corn color is as welcome to the eye as the mingling of sandalwood and lilac is to the nose. In the mouth it offers tart green apple on a buttery base, not overpowering by any means, and a long, somewhat acidic finish. The overall impression is a little rough – otherwise the score would be higher – but a strong performer nonetheless. (AV 86, http://argovino.com/?p=1060)

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
