Bodegas Arrocal Tempranillo Ribera del Duero 2006
Well balanced. Red fruits nose and palate. Good wine for the money.
2006 Arrocal Ribera Del Duero-aged 6 months- I am by no means versed in the world of wine and just recently started drinking red wines. This wine wowed me with the first glass. I tasted it straight out of the bottle and then let it decant 1-2 hours. It got better by the minute and I went through 3 bottles in a weekend. I only wish I had purchased more than 4 bottles at the time. I only paid $10.99 online with free shipping. I have added this wine to my love list. In the Denver area it sells for $16-18 a bottle.

Focused pure dark berry flavors are brightened by brisk mineral and floral pastille qualities. The wine's fine-grained tannins do not detract from its sweet vivid fruit.
Opaque ruby. Potent mulberry and blueberry aromas expand seductively picking up baking spice and floral qualities. Suave silky and impressively pure with vibrant dark berry flavors saved from the brink of jamminess by bright acidity and fine-grained tannins. Impressively juicy and persistent with excellent palate saturation and clarity. J. Raynolds - S.Tanzer's IWC
The 2005 Arrocal is 100% Tempranillo aged 4 months in a mixture of new and used French and American oak. Purple-colored, it offers up fragrant aromas of cedar, spice box, blueberry, and blackberry. Supple-textured, the wine has gobs of sweet fruit, soft tannins, and excellent balance. Drink this outstanding value over the next 3-5 years.
