Bodegas Altanza Tempranillo Blend Rioja Edulis Rioja Tinto 2006

Member Review by blake91188:

Wonderful!--I bought a case of bargain wines (priced from 10$--15$) mostly from Spain and this was BY FAR the best wine of the bunch! Complex, smooth, velvety, with a soft smokey and leathery taste--this was a truly amazing wine. Without hesitation, I give this a 90 rating.

It is thus sited in one of the most fertile and privileged lands of the Denomination/ Apellation of Origin Rioja. The winery –its premises and gardens– is conceived, designed and built with the same heart as is put into its winemaking. We have used the noblest materials for its construction, striving always to blend tradition and modernity. This philosophy is easily noticed as soon as one takes a glance at the exterior appearance, but also at the beauty and functionality of the interiors –even the wines show a balance between oak and fruit. Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
