Bodegas Altanza Edulis Semi-Roble Tempranillo 2012

Winemaker's Notes:

Colour: Cherry colour with garnet higlights. Nose: It reminds to liquorice provided by the tempranillo variety, sweet fruits, cherries, nuts and smoked and toasty nuances come from his upbringing. We also find some almonds and sweetness in general. Palate: Fresh on the palate, it stays like this along the way. It is round and its smooth touch on palate leaves you with a clear memory of the sweetness and delicacy of French wood in senses like spices, balsamic, but also of black fruits. Very balanced. Food paring: It allows a wide variety of dishes, especially to take daily.

Bodegas Altanza -located in Fuenmayor, at the heart of Upper Rioja- is surrounded by tempranillo vineyards. It is thus sited in one of the most fertile and privileged lands of the Denomination/ Apellation of Origin Rioja. The winery –its premises and gardens– is conceived, designed and built with the same heart as is put into its winemaking. We have used the noblest materials for its construction, striving always to blend tradition and modernity. This philosophy is easily noticed as soon as one takes a glance at the exterior appearance, but also at the beauty and functionality of the interiors –even the wines show a balance between oak and fruit.
