`Bright ruby. Exotically perfumed aroma of red berries, cherry, spicecake and sandalwood becomes richer with air, picking up plum compote and bitter chocolate qualities that carry onto the palate. A rich, fleshy style that betrays no rough edges, as the fruit sucks up the tannins. This has the depth to age but there's plenty of complexity already. Serve it with a peppery, grilled piece of lamb. 92 points. Josh Raynolds, Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (07/08).
Tried this with some slightly spicy mini-samosas. First sniff was cinnamony. It was bold, but very smooth. I really enjoyed this one.
One of my all time favorites. A great mix of old world with new techniques, this is lush and lively. Dark berry and tar with some earth. Very strong tannins that slowly lift as the evening goes on. Enough acid to make it a great dining partner, but complex and smooth enough to explore and enjoy by itself. It will get better as it cellars, if only I can let it sit.

Druckvoller Auftakt mit viel schwarzer Frucht und feiner Schokoladensüsse, enorme Gaumenfülle mit viel Schmelz und perfekt eingebundenen Tanninen, Pflaumen in allen Facetten, nun auch Amarenakirschen und ansprechende Brotkrustentöne, tiefgründig und finessenreich zugleich, einzigartiger Trinkgenuss bis zum letzen Schluck.
Alejandro Fernandez has worked his magic once again. The Pesquera estate has returned to its former glory: it has been on fire since the historic 2000 vintage, and this bottling may be their best effort yet.
Dunkles Kirschrot. In der Nase leicht ledrige Noten, würzig, fruchtig, blumige Nuancen von Veillchen. Am Gaumen konzentriert, dicht, fruchtig, gute Struktur, ausbalancierte Tannine und einem langanhaltenden Abgang.
Tiefgründiges Purpur-Schwarz. Dörrfrüchte und Nussbrot in der korinthigen Nase, auch Lebkuchen und Datteln, an klassischen St. Emilion erinnernd. Samtige Textur im saftigen Gaumen, feine Tabakwürze schwingt mit, gute Balance in der geleeartigen Mitte, reife Tannine und typische Ribera-Frische, bis am Schluss viel Korinthen, Honignüsse und Zwetschgenkompott.
Leuchtendes Rubin mit brillanter Mitte. Pflaumen und Dörrbirnen in der typischen Nase, Kirschenkompott, Früchtebrot und feine Nussmischung dahinter. Fülliger Gaumen mit samtigen Tanninen und zartpelzigem Extrakt, wieder viel blaue und schwarze Frucht, auch Baumnuss und Roibusch, portweinartige Pflaumenlikörwärme und Korinthen-Schokolade bis ins lange Finale.
