Bodegas Alejandro Fernandez Ribera del Duero Pesquera Crianza 2007
This wine's cherry red color reveals its youth and fruitiness. Its aspect is clean and appears to be glyceric. The wine's intense bouquet reveals the best dark fruit marked by impeccable wood aromas. Hints of fallen leaves and certain spices such as vanilla. Starts off smoothly upon entry into the mouth to later become lush with abundant ripe tannins and an excellent balance between its acidity and alcohol content. Flavors from the barrel do not overwhelm the fruit. Refined, long-lasting and elegant retronasal effect.
More than a working philosophy, the four wineries that form the wine heritage of Alejandro Fernández –the Pesquera Corporation– share the same story of love for the viniculture that time helped to perfect. The bonds with its home land are clearly expressed in the symbol of the group: the image of the Arch and the Tower of Pesquera de Duero, typical of its flagships, the “Tinto Pesquera’.
A great wine. A deep red color with a long lasting finish. Flavours of plum, blackcurrent mixed with a little redcurrant. Fantastic with all red meats and a great example of a superb Spainish wine
its just great, so earthy
