Member Review by ryanopaz:

Chocolate, blackcherry, and dark candied fruits, this wine is a joy to smell! Huge acidty with fine rich tannins that coat your mouth. The fruit in the nose follow through to the mouth with chocolate coverd cherries coming to mind. Tasty wine that is a joy to drink. 4/5 [NR]

Barrel Sample Inky purple in color. The nose is layered iwth chocolate, minerals, black fruits, cherries and more. Tangy with a high acidity and rich dense tannins. The palate is a mess of flavors that have yet to sort themselves out. Chocolate, dark fruits, rich spices, and more. This wine appears to be a monster. 4.5/5 [NR]

Nice bottle of wine. Gets better with decanting. Tastes the chocolate and the dried fruit. Tannins are still hard. Would love to wait a few years and try it again.

Hard to resist this lush, modern red, with its mouthwatering blackberry and boysenberry fruit and lavish toasty vanilla oak. But has plenty of structure, with ripe tannins and fresh acidity, so give it time to develop. Drink now through 2015.–TM
