A forward, juicy style, with blackberry and licorice notes that stay lively on the medium-weight finish. Drink now.
International in style, this shows oak influence in scents of vanilla and caramel, while malbec's violet aromas and generous chocolate flavors come through soft and round. Best Buy.
This direct red delivers a beam of cherry, raspberry ganache and sweet spice notes that stay focused through the medium-weight finish. Drink now.
Basic but full and ripe, with black cherry and cassis aromas. The palate has some snap and clack to it, but flavors of raspberry are softened and enriched by vanilla and creamy accents. Shows more on the nose than in the mouth, but overall it is a nice wine.
Good dark red-ruby. Smoky blackberry and minerals on the nose. Sweet, lush and fruit driven; offers terrific volume for the price. Not quite complex enough for 90 points but finishes smooth and broad, with lush tannins and notes of licorice, violet and game. An outstanding value.
A solid, juicy Malbec, with plenty of ripe blackberry and raspberry notes to carry layers of spice and toasty oak through to the fruit-filled finish. Drink now.
Color, power, flavor and commendable balance; that's pretty much the format for Punto Final, one of Argentina's go-to brands for Malbec. This youngster is ripe and ready, and it holds form onto a long finish. If it seems a little young and clumsy upon pouring, air it out and it'll improve.
