Bodega Renacer Malbec Blend Enamore 2008
The winery was built in 2004 and is located in Perdriel in Lujan de Cuyo in the foothills of the Andes. The fruit for this wine comes from vineyards in Perdriel, Medrano and Rivadvia which have an altitude between 600-900m above sea level and a range of soil types from poor through to fertile. The vines have an average age of over 50 years and yields are less than 6 tonnes per hectare. Harvest is always done by hand with a double selection of both clusters and berries. Dark and juicy with aromas of cassis, fig, chocolate, liquorice and spiced coffee. Balanced and rounded with good tannins and a long, toasty finish.
Bodega Renacer is a boutique winery located in Lujan de Cuyo-Mendoza. Lujan is considered as one of the best regions for growing Malbec. The winery especializes in Malbec and produces only 4 wines: Punto Final Clasico, Punto Final Reserva, Enamore and Renacer.
Pungent fruity scent, but dry on the palate. Great finish. Wonderful blend
In the glass, the Enamore is a medium to dark ruby-purple. The nose is an incredibly intense mix of dried fruits, predominantly raisins and dates, cedar, and black cherry. The palate has the fruits found on the nose, plus chocolate, almonds, and a Port-like quality. Despite having been aged in new French oak for 12 months, this is not an “oaky” wine. The finish is long and luscious, with chocolate and a slight nuttiness. Read more at: http://winedinewith.us/2011/02/14/wine-review-2007-bodega-renacer-enamore/
