Winemaker's Notes:

Bodega y Vinedos O. Fournier's mission is to become one of the most outstanding high-quality group of wineries. It aims to achieve this goal using the competitive advantages the vineyards and the weather offer as well as the enabling technology and the relevant local and international winemaking knowledge. At the turn of the millenium, the Spanish family Ortega Gil-Fournier founded a small "boutique" winery, in La Consulta, in the province of Mendoza, Argentina, the second estate in Jose Manuel Ortega's winery empire which stretches from Chile, through Argentina to Spain. Both Jancis Robinson and Steven Spurrier have highlighted Jose as a world class producer in all three countries. Wine Spectator gave the 2009 vintage 88 points and said, "This is ripe and friendly, with a mix of raspberry, boysenberry and blueberry compote notes that mingle through the licorice-tinged finish. Drink now. 10,000 cases made." The 2010 promises to be just as good.
