Bodega Norton Malbec Reserve Argentina. South America 2007

External Review by WineExpress.com:

This wine made the Wine Spectator Top 100 Wines list for 2010 and it's easy to see why. Bold but supple which richness and depth this Reserve Malbec has the stuffing and to go the distance. Now with an additional year of bottle age, any rough edges have smoothed down to velvety softness. The Spectator originally said with thier 90 point review "Very ripe and very primal still, delivering a large core of velvety-textured raspberry, fig and boysenberry fruit that is liberally laced with dark toast, pastis and roasted vanilla. Should settle in nicely with modest cellaring, as the structure is dense, but polished and integrated. Drink now through 2011."

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
