What to Expect

Argentina, and in particular the region around Mendoza, is making a name for itself as the source of some of the finest expressions of Malbec ever made. In this warm, yet dry climate the Malbec achieves near perfect ripeness endowing the wines with a velvety texture and intense flavors of blackberry, peppery spice, and balsamic herbs. The cooler, well-drained slopes of the hillsides of the region have proven to be ideally suited for Malbec, allowing for the wines to achieve a level of complexity and harmony that rivals those of Napa or Bordeaux.

Type of Harvest: Hand harvested, in small plastic boxes of 18 kg

Aging Time: 12 months in french oak and 9 months in bottle.

Date of Harvest: Last week of March 2005

Total Acidity: 4,87 g/l

Alcohol Percentage: 14.7 %

Wine Tasting NotesThis is a huge wine, deep red violet with dark fruit aromas, firm structure, full-bodied, long finish. Excellent with rich spiced dishes, strong cheeses, roast or grilled meats, tuna, salmon and chocolate.

Your enjoyment of malbec will be even greater if the bottle is opened and the wine aerated at least 30 minutes before serving.
