This is a malbec from Mendoza that will change one's mind of what malbec from this area is all about. Talk about a wonderful seperation of flavor and balanced medium body. The breakdown (in my geeky head) goes like this: Deep red hue with subtle reflective acidity transparency. The nose is earth and and smooth dark fruit with hints of oak that do not overwhelm the senses. This no-nonsense malbec has a palate of depth and concentration that seperates itself and shows its layers individually as it opens up. At no time though does this wine over do it. Brilliant red. Nose: red fruits, butter, ripe figs, floral. Mouth: sweety, fruity, rich body, long.
