Bodega Elena de Mendoza Red Blend 2010
The 2010 Bodega Elena de Mendoza Red Blend is 62% Malbec, 21% Syrah and 17% Bonarda sourced from vineyards in the Mendoza region of Argentina. The Mendoza region is the highest altitude wine growing region in the world, which provides the grapevines with extremely long and intense exposure to the sun. Bodega Elena is a wine label owned by E & J Gallo, other Argentinian Gallo labels are Alamos and Don Miguel Gascon Pasta and garlic bread also good with BBQ Pork Chop with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans.
Opaque plum-violet hue, intense aromas of dark fruits, prune and licorice; rich on the palate with integrated tannins supporting dark currant and mole across a moderate and supple finish.
nice red fruit nose...great medium - full bodied wine with a shorter finish with some nice fruit....
Three and a half glasses
