Bodega Catena Zapata Alamos Bonarda(2005)

The wine is very cloudy/milky in color, which is no problem and some would even say is a sign that the wine has not undergone any unneccesary filtering, etc. However, it really detracted from the overall experience of drinking the wine. Good flavors of candied cherry.

From 40-year-old vines, this Bonarda is a good deal more interesting than most. It has an enticing raspberry, floral perfume and fine-flavoured, soft fruit, but still manges to retain good structure and character. Drink now (June 2006).
