Bodega Castillo de Monjardín Monjardin Deyo 2002
External Reviews for Bodega Castillo de Monjardín Monjardin Deyo
Firm, yet graceful, this maturing red offers black cherry, tobacco, mineral and toast flavors, with floral and spicy notes on the finish. Drink now through 2008.
This is a must-try for any Merlot fan - so different from the California style, the Monjardin challenges common perceptions of what a Merlot must taste like, while still maintaining many of the qualities we've come to love about the grape. This generously oaked wine offers layered fruit with a fresh bouquet of vanilla, Bing cherries and cassis. Full and savory in the mouth. Nice touch of spice and very slight oak lead to a long, velvety finish.
