Good deep bright red. Plum, redcurrant, mocha and nutty oak on the nose and palate. Spicy, pliant and rather suave, with a fine-grained texture and good concentration. In an elegant style, finishing with smooth tannins and light mint and herbal notes that perk up the fruit.

The 2009 Juan Benegas Malbec (100%) spent 6 months in French oak. It offers up enticing aromas of cedar, spice box, leather, lavender, and cherry cola setting the stage for a tasty, ripe, nicely proportioned wine meant for drinking over the next 2andndash;3 years.
