Bodega Balcona Partal Bullas Crianza 2002

Member Review by ryanopaz:

60% Monastrell the rest, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot The nose right away show oak, and smokey fruit both dried and fresh. The color is intense and deep ruby. In the mouth it has big tannins with a firm oak backbone. While flavors of cherry and black fruits mingle. Still a bit tight but a really fun wine, and one that I would like to open up in the morning for dinner at night. 3.5/5 [NR]

60% Monastrell, followed by Tempranillo, Cabernet Suavignon, Syrah, and Merlot Deeper color than the 2002 with a darkness that is hard to see into. The nose two seems more complex(maybe time in bottle) showing a herbal quality of mint, green pepper and layered black fruit background. The palate still has firm tannins and acids dominating but the fruit seems riper and the herbal qualities of the nose come through more too. 4/5 [NR]
