Blue Rock Vineyard Baby Blue 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

The 2007 Blue Rock Cabernet, from the much heralded “vintage of the decade”, is very rich with sweet and velvety tannins, great structure, beautiful Cabernet purity, and a lengthy finish. It is a departure from previous Blue Rock Cabernets in that it is richer and more open knit and more typically California in style (in contract to the 2006 which was more reserved and in need of cellar time to flesh out).

Blue Rock will always come from the blue rocks, pebbles and boulders that make this hillside property so unique and special. Read less

A beautiful Cabernet, dry, soft and balanced, that will silence objections that California Cab is too strong to drink with food. This wine is fine in tannins, and the blackberries and cherries have a lovely note of herbs. Feels elegant and luxurious.

WE 92 Pts. - According to Wine Enthusiast: A beautiful Cabernet, dry, soft and balanced, that will silence objections that California Cab is too strong to drink with food. This wine is fine in tannins, and the blackberries and cherries have a lovely note of herbs. Feels elegant and luxurious. Drink now. Editors Choice. Rated 90+ Winemaker's Notes - The Blue Rock Cabernet is a blend of some of the oldest blocks from the Estate and it is aged in 50% new and 50% once used French Oak. It is 92% Cabernet Sauvignon with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Merlot for added texture and complexity.
