Food Pairings for Blue Mountain Chardonnay
Light yellow in color - typical at this age - this wine opens to the nose with gobs of citrus (especially lime rind) and cold table grapes. The attack is quite tart - very much like Premier Cru Chablis, though perhaps a bit short on minerality. A good, moderately lengthy and spicy finish. Nice quality and capable of aging another 2-3 years given the fresh acidity.
