Bleasdale Cabernet-Shiraz Blend Langhorne Creek Shiraz Cabernet 2010
I decanted this wine for an hour, and was rewarded with a pleasant nose that reminded me of wet moss (in a pleasant and fresh way). On the palate I found deep fruit (berries), slightly tart - but I expect that will round out if cellared for a year or so. A bit of earthy spice, full bodied, very nice. Paired well with sharp cheese and drinks well on its own.Add winemaker's notes

(Weinwisser 1/2002)
Deep, dark scarlet in colour. Intense varietal characters of dark cherries and ripe plums, complexed with fragrant spice aromas and toasty oak characters achieved by the extended maturation in tight grained American oak hogsheads and barriques. Generous fruit and supportive, mouthfilling tannins, Bremerview will continue to develop its rich earthy and chocolatey characters. Approachable upon release and always a winner with your favourite faire. 'Perceptibly alluvial Shiraz, finely groomed, made genteel by punnets of berry and sour red fruit. Soft and velvety smooth, brought to a long finish by relaxed, earthy tannins, it's ready as a young wine to guzzle with sirloin, lamb or lasagna!' -Case4Claret.com
A medium-Full bodied wine showing intense ripe dark berry fruit aromas. A touch of fruitcake and some cinnamon spice. The palate is dense with blackberry preserve and smoky oak flavours and lovely lingering fruit sweetness. Enjoy with any of your favourite meat dishes.
Smooth and plushly textured on a modest scale, with plummy flavors at the core, shaded nicely with nutmeg and meat notes on the finish. Drink now through 2000.
Readers looking of more mint/eucalyptus characteristics should check out the 2002 Shiraz/Cabernet, a heady concoction revealing copious quantities of black currant fruits along with the telltale mint. This impressively endowed, nicely textured, dense, concentrated offering reveals the strength of this vintage in South Australia. Potentially bigger and richer than its 2001 counterpart, it will drink well for 4ndash;7 years.
The adjectives ldquo;piquantrdquo; and ldquo;voluptuousrdquo; might have been created specifically for this wine. Bountiful black currant and black cherry flavors are adorned by fresh mint, which compile to develop a dense, full-figured wine. This is one inexpensive Aussie that is not to be taken lightly.
