Bleasdale Cabernet-Shiraz Blend Langhorne Creek Shiraz Cabernet 2001
External Review by Premium Wine & Spirits:
The 2001 Shiraz/Cabernet (68% of the former and 32% of the latter) sees 10ndash;15% new oak. This dense, richly fruity, medium to full-bodied blend possesses copious quantities of black fruits intermixed with pepper and spice characteristics. Sexy and seductive, with low acidity as well as ripe tannins, it will drink well for 3ndash;4 years. It is an excellent value.

Beautifully built, with a sense of refinement to the finely graded cherry, berry and mint flavors, which echo nicely on the fine-grained finish. A fine price for a near-outstanding wine. Drink now through 2005.

This medium-weight wine is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Shiraz. The wine has a crimson color and on the palate are flavors of cinnamon, spice and plum and blackcurrant followed by licorice with hints of mint and soft tannins. This wine will mature nicely for another 4ndash;5 years.
