Blasted Church Red Blend Okanagan Valley Vqa the Dam Flood 2004
Colour: Crimson with ruby hues. Bouquet: Chocolate covered cherries (Black Forest Cake), plums, cranberry, raisins and white pepper. Palate: Medium bodied wine with bright red berry fruit, layers of plum, cranberry and spice followed by firm tannins and a toasty vanilla finish.. Food Pairings: Lamb wrapped with prociutto on top of gnocchi, suki yaki and turkey dinner.
Huge surprise -a truly great Okanagan blend. A wonderful red and incredible value at sub $20. Sadly no longer available and replaced by the inferior Bing Bang. Looking forward to the day the Dam Flood returns. In the meantime, will have to make due with the Nothing Sacred and Hatfield Fuse.
