Nice wine from Chile. Priced for me at around $10. Earthy aroma, taste of berry, caramel, cinnamon, mint and ample tannins. Very satisfying Cabernet for the price

Smooth. Like it. Tried at Ridge tasting BH

A light bodied Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark red. Ripe on the nose and on the palette.

Light on the nose - doesn't seem intrusive by smell. Crispy like a cucumber. Tastes young and as light as it smells. 79/100

Bright yellow. Ripe but cooler aromas of citrus fruits with hints of marzipan and apricot emerging with air. Juicy and fruity in the mouth with a solid impression of acidity for the vintage giving shape and lift to the peach and citrus flavors. This was aged in a portion of new barrels but the oak is very nicely integrated. Finishes with good lemony freshness and saline minerality. An excellent showing. Stephen Tanzers IWC.

The 2009 Monte Bello bursts from the glass with an exciting array of radiant fruit. It is a striking wine endowed with superb purity, dazzling finesse and breathtaking textural elegance. Despite the expressiveness of the fruit, there appears to be mo... Robert Parkers Wine Advocate. A Proprietary Blend wine from California in USA. 2009 Ridge Monte Bello 750ml

"Beautiful pale gold in color with green hues

Tasty plum and black cherry flavors are forward and open-knit, with toast and briar hints on the easy finish. Drink now.

Lovely racy feel, despite its dark, brooding currant, plum and cedar notes. Lots of coffee, smoke and muscular tannins on the back end, but the fruit keeps pumping along, too. Burly style, but I like it. Drink now through 2005.
