Visiting Carlos at the seat of his wine-making operations in the Fraser Valley a few kilometres from the US border with Washington State is a treat; we tasted many special products including this one: a Viognier with a character all of its (seductive) own: muted Condrieu-style nose and viscosity with a sweet, honey-infused, tropical fruit flavour profile on the palate. The sweetness on the almond-bitter finish at first seems a bit odd, but wins you over with its luscious perfection. An astounding entry from British Columbia!
