Blackwood Lane Riesling 2009

Member Review by zufrieden:

This is another of Carlos Lee's rather unique interpretations of an established vinifera varietal - in this case, the Riesling grape. The nose is muted, with a tropical honey bouquet that has a touch of aniseed. Some petrol elements are happening as well, with more licorice and aniseed on the palate. Although compared by Carlos to Alsatian Cru, the wine to me has a touch of Mosel sweetness along with some New World verve. A very good wine that is aging gracefully and could last a couple of more years with prudent cellaring.
