Blackstone Winery Sauvignon Blanc Central Coast Winemaker Select 2010
Our 2010 Blackstone Winemaker’s Select Sauvignon Blanc is full of lemon and lime aromas and flavors with freshly cut grass and floral notes in the nose. The flavors follow suit accompanied by a nice, acidic backbone, the wine’s acidity and citrus tones making it a very food friendly wine. Try pairing it with grilled fish, seafood, pasta, or crab.
Bright light straw hue, aromas of green water and lime; tart, racy acidity of citrus and herbs and citrus leading to a moderate finish without fruit.
Another winner from Blackstone, at $12 a bottle this is excellent QPR. Nice aromas of white grapefruit, some hay, and some lemon pith. Palate is smooth and grapefruity with a hint of lemon and a juicy finish. Would be terrific with seafood, and I just had it with asparagus carbonara and it worked very well--didn't clash with the asparagus at all.
