Full-bore cherry and raspberry aromas. Some spice, too, along with a note of lavender. Pleasantly spicy in the midpalate, too, with cherry and berry notes continuing through. Pomegranate and smoke notes, too. Spicy, chocolatey finish. A big Pinot at 14.3% alc/vol, but not out of balance--will just appeal more to those that like a zaftig, California Pinot rather than something leaner.
