Blackstone Winery Merlot Sonoma County 2008
Smells like sweet and tart plums. Very fruity wine with mild oaky tannins that shows. Sweet but not too much such that it is very easy to keep drinking. A decent merlot for a great price.

Has mocha and vanilla flavors, but also an edge of sourness. It's plump in the mouth, with soft tannins; oak is heavy on the finish.
Wonderfully delicious year after year, the 2000 Blackstone is filled with ripe blackberry and raspberry fruit, a core of toasty oak, and a silky mouthfeel. The mild tannins and somewhat off-dry finish make this a great choice by itself or paired with grilled vegetables or classic roast chicken.
Simple, but round, with currant, plum and herbal tones framed by vanilla. Drink now.
